Conductive!

Conductive is an Athens based band. They are the children of primal punk, folk tradition and the binary code. They produce embroidered beats.

It was our first live show in months....And it took place last Friday @ Six D.o.g.s. Such a warm atmosphere and intensity on stage....There's more to come.....Happy springtime and stick for updates!!!

Studio Daze...

 It was last December when we had an amazing day @ the Sonic Playground studios, creating our first live recording..The outcome was of course the virtual tape for Ough! magazine..Here are some snapshots to light a bit our wonderful time there and then...

Lamebird came from Crete to perform with the Callas and the Mongrelettes last week. 

They stayed with us, we spent some time together and rehearsed at the notorious Velvoids' studio.

They will come back soon to perform in Athens. 

They are after all our favorite dreamy-fuzz duo!

Spellbinder Straight Shooter Pedal

 

Straight Shooter Pre-amp booster pedal is Spellbinder's first guitar/bass pedal in a series of amazing pedals.
MicroondaS have  been using it for some time now in order to achieve weird sonic results, boost their sound, and add more drive.
Betamin made the promo video featuring Stathis (Illegal Operation).

With My Wet Calvin at Parnassos

                                        

 

   
                                                                                                           




My Wet Calvin called their friends who could or could not sing in order to start a choir. It was a mission from god: The recording of a track with Egg Hell on vocals titled "Super Jefrio Galaxy".
The choir did its best to make this track a proper tribute to our 8-bit heroes.
The recording took place at Parnassos concert hall, a conservative place with brilliant acoustics.
Looking forward to hearing the results...

Side Project 3: LilyKorg !

Afroditi just introduced me to her unique universe.
She makes embroideries and plays music with them!
She writes lyrics too.
We are going to try out something new. More details to follow.
Check out her video-embroideries...

Side Project 2: Lost Sounds

BetaMin will be doing a solo-performance titled σαϊκο-geography. It will be part of the Lost Sounds exhibition.

The performance will be accompanied by a video installation titled "Hotel Room" featuring Maria Eglezaki.

A few words: Ο BetaMin στήνει το σκηνικό για ένα παράξενο όνειρο. Αφήνει ανοιχτή την ροή του υποσυνείδητου του, για να βγουν απο μέσα ροκαμπίλυ φαντάσματα, διαφημιστικές εικόνες  απο την γραμμή παραγωγής του Χένρι Φορντ, η Σκηνή (με Σ κεφαλαίο), οι λάμπες νέον, το ριβέρμπ και το έκο, τα κόμικς τρόμου πριν των κώδικα λογοκρισίας , οι νεκρολογίες των ξεχασμένων και αφανών ηρώων, τα φτηνά κασετόφωνα, οι υπεροδηγημένοι ενισχυτές κιθάρας.

Συναντάει κείμενα θνησιγενή απο φανζίν και περιοδικά που διάβρωσαν στιγμιαία την τσιμεντούπολη και έσβησαν, συντονίζεται με τα βραχέα κύματα στα ραδιόφωνα των γειτόνων, και παράγει αμφιβόλου ποιότητας βόμβους.

Ασπάζεται το δόγμα ότι όλα είναι μια ακατάπαυστη rhythm section. Στο τέλος ξυπνά σε δωμάτιο ξενοδοχείου σε Δυτική Μητρόπολη και καταστρέφει το σκηνικό.
